Well, do you have one? I sometimes have a routine that overtime seems to be reduced to one task as I let laziness take over but its important to establish a consistent routine for yourself. It really can be a good feeling when you have something you can look forward to so regardless of how your day goes, there’s always that awareness of this routine that can be beneficial in improving how you feel. This routine could be anything from improving your sleep, to managing your anxiety or maybe just how to manage after a stressful day at work. Why it’s important? Let me count the ways…
Control over you life: You may not be able to control those unexpected situations that arise throughout your day but your routine is where YOU have that control over what you choose to do. Think of this as your “ME TIME”. It can be a sense of relief from the outside world.
Balance: You create a sense of balance for yourself, which is key. If you’re giving too much of yourself to one aspect of your life, how do you expect other areas to grow, if you don’t nurture them?
Self-awareness: We sometimes forget about self with the hundred and one things we have going on, everyone is a focus but us. Establishing a routine helps so you can start to pay attention to what you need, what your body needs, etc. There have been so many times where I have had so many things going on and my body was telling me to slow down and I didn’t listen, so maybe I got sick because of it or may have slept the whole weekend off, so when you start to be aware of the things you need, you make sure to tend to those things to get you back to where you need to be.
Just some thoughts, I felt the need to share as we ride out the rest of the week.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to hit that follow on Insta to see a bit of how I establish a routine that works for me.
